A holiday in Bahama Bay offers this delightful Complex, winner of Virgin Holidays' bronze award in the category of best hotel in Florida 2006, set in gardens with two man made lakes, on the edge of Lake Davenport, a natural lake, in fact Bahama Bay has everything to make your stay most agreeable.

When you arrive you will be greeted at the gate by one of our 24 hour security guards.

200 yds further on you will come to the main Clubhouse with check in facilities. This Clubhouse contains a convenience shop, a beauty salon, gymnasium and free Internet facilities if you have your own laptop. Just outside is a large pool with 2 jacuzzis and a bar where you can get snacks and pizzas.

Our Andros holiday apartment is located approx. 500 yds from this Clubhouse close to Lake Davenport .

 A short walk from this is the second Clubhouse which contains Tradewinds Restaurant and the Pelican Lounge.  where you can get sandwiches, snacks and cold drinks either to have on the premises or to take away. There is another huge pool with two more jacuzzis, one warm and another a little hotter.
 
There is also a man made beach with a volleyball court and numerous sun loungers. 

Leading down to the lake is a substantial pier from where one can fish for catfish and bass or get Cap'n Joe to take you fishing on his boat.

Bahama Bay also has a wedding gazebo so why not plan for your big day in our luxurious surroundings where ther is plenty of accommodation for you whole party. Bahama Bay Even has it's own resident photographer on site.

Our Andros condo has two bedrooms, one with an enormous bed the other with two single beds, in the lounge there is a sofa bed and a cot and high chair is also provided. The kitchen is fitted out with enough storage units for a family of 10 and would still have room to spare!! It has a large four ring ceramic top stove with oven, a microwave, a fridge with ice making facilities and a dish-washer. Just inside the front door there is a laundry room with a family sized washing machine and tumble drier. There is a dining area with a glass topped table and six really comfortable chairs. In the lounge there is a flat screen television with a DVD player and a music centre. The DVD only plays American discs which can be obtained from reception but the music centre plays any CDs.  There are two bathrooms, the en-suite for the master bedroom has a walk in shower and a bath big enough to play boats in!.
The terrace at the back which is fully screened to keep the mozzys out has four chairs and a table.

As this luxury apartment is on the ground floor it is ideal for people who don't like stairs and is wheel chair friendly. 

For those of a sporting disposition there is a gym, four large swimming pools, volley ball, tennis court and a basketball net.  There is also a nature walk which goes around the two man made lakes and alongside the wild wetland, I am told that there is a bald eagles nest although I have not seen this but I did see one of the eagles during my last visit.

Just down the road there is a 9 hole golf course open to the public at reasonable rates and there are lots of 18 hole golf courses in the area, many to championship standards.
 
Bahama Bay is just 6 miles from Disney and there is a shuttle bus service. We are about an hours drive from Tampa and Clearwater where you can go dolphin watching.   You pass Bushe Gardens on the way to Tampa.  On the way from the airport you will pass a Publix supermarket, our favourite, it is not too big, merely huge.  Just along the 27 going north there is a Walmart, this is a bit bigger!

In the Complex gardens there are more types of birds than can be mentioned, some of which can easily be seen like the sandhill cranes which stand nearly four feet tall and the glossy ibis which tends to hang around the artificial lake below the main club house, so take your binoculars.
